Beaver Lake State Park

Activities

Amphitheater Programs

Amphitheater programs are held each Friday and Saturday night throughout the summer, starting at 9:30 pm. Information is posted on the campground bulletin boards.

2009 Special Events

May 25 (Memorial Day)— Military Appreciation Day. Free admission to any state park on Memorial Day, in honor of past and present servicemen and women.


June 6 (10 a.m.)—National Trails Day.  Join a Ranger for a guided hike on the newly renovated Nature Trail.  After the guided hike, take the opportunity to explore other portions of the Beaver Lake State Park trail system on your own.  Meet at the park swim beach at 10 a.m.


June 21 (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.)—8th Annual Bullhead Fishing Tournament/ Visitor Appreciation Day.  Sign in at the tent by the boat ramp.  Fishing starts at 9 a.m. with weigh-in at 2 p.m.  Hot dogs, chips, watermelon and pop will be served while supplies last.  Contact Beaver Lake State Park Staff at: 701-452-2752 for further details.


September 26 (10 a.m.)—National Public Lands Day. Volunteer to help make a difference on our public lands through various projects in Beaver Lake State Park.

Interpretive Activities

Weekend interpretive activities, including hikes, campfire programs and Dakota Explorers, are held every weekend during the summer. Information is posted on the campground bulletin boards.
