Fort Ransom Sodbuster's Association


Sodbuster Days is a semi-annual event held at Fort Ransom State Park. During Sodbusters Days, early pioneer village activities are conducted as they were originally performed from the early 20th century to the 1950's. Activities include:

  • antique vehicles and equipment display
  • gas engine demonstrations
  • threshing machine bundle feeder
  • pedal-powered woodworking
  • horse-drawn potato picker
  • pie auction
  • homemade ice cream
  • music
  • Custer's Cavalry Company E encampment
  • and much more


Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month.

A clean-up day is also held the Tuesday before Sodbuster Days to prepare buildings for the event.
