Amphitheater Programs

Amphitheater programs, children's Dakota Explorers activities and nature hikes are held every weekend throughout the summer. Information is posted on the campground bulletin boards; and a schedule will also be posted on this web site as program information becomes available.

2008 Special Events

June 7—SAKAKAWEA TRAILS FEST. Multi-agency event highlighting the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail and the North Country National Scenic Trail. Click here for Additional details.

July 12—VISITOR APPRECIATION DAY. Free entrance to Lake Sakakawea State Park.

July 12—SAFE BOATING DAY. Free park entrance. Special programs for the kids include seminars on boat safety.

August 16—GREAT PLANERS SALMON DERBY. Join the Great Planers for their premiere salmon derby. Weigh-in schedules will be posted in the park and derby headquarters will be located at the park's special events shelter near the marina.
