Cabins & Shelters

Cabin and camping reservations can be made online or by calling the toll-free reservation line, 800-807-4723. For picnic shelter reservations, contact the park directly at 701-487-3315.

Camping cabins

Lake Sakakawea State Park has two camping cabins available for rent.

These camping cabins each sleep 5, bunkbed-style. Each is equipped with lights, heat, fan, and a deck. No cooking is allowed inside, but a grill and picnic table is located outside of each cabin. The cabins do not have showers, sinks or toilets, but most are within a short walk to a campground comfort station. Camping cabins are generally available from May 19 to the end of October. Check with the park for possible off-season availablity.

Rental fee per camping cabin—$40/night

Picnic shelters

The park has two small picnic shelters that can accommodate 30-40 people each (no utilities). There is also a large event shelter that can hold 300 and is equipped with electricity, lights and a nearby water hydrant.
