Cabins: A variety of different types of cabins are available for rent in ten of North Dakota's State Parks, ranging from small, sleeping-only camper cabins to family-style cabins with kitchenettes and bathrooms.

Outdoor Learning Centers: Outdoor Learning Center programs are available at Lake Metigoshe, Turtle River and Cross Ranch state parks. Each center offers ecology, conservation, cultural and recreational programming in an outdoor setting.
Volunteering: Retired or have summers free, consider volunteering to work in a North Dakota State Park as a Campground Host. In exchange for working a one to three month period, hosts receive free, full-service camping for the duration of their stay.
