Join us in celebrating EMS week with the 4th annual EMS Kid Strong event at Fort Stevenson State Park! Featuring Public Service entities as they provide family fun activities to include bounce houses and tours of the many types of emergency personnel equipment.

OHV operators age 12 to 16 must possess an OHV safety certification or a valid driver's license to legally operate on public land, including ditches, trails, and roadways. In this class, riders will learn to ride safely and become certified to ride in North Dakota. To register call (701) 328.5357. DOT helmets will be given to those who bring an adult to class.

Come on out to Turtle River State Park and test your fishing skills at this fishing derby on the Turtle River. Learn to tie knots, bait your hook, and cast.

Our Mother's are the one person that can turn a frown upside down. Hugs from a Mom are the best. Most of all, Mom will always have a place in our heart. This Mother's Day, bring Mom to the park for a relaxing hike. Use this time to reconnect or simply to enjoy the beauty of Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. The hike is about 2- 3 miles and will start in front of the Custer House on Cavalry Square. The hike is an easy hike on concrete/ gravel surfaces perfect for the whole family and even that new mom with a stroller. #mothershikefalsp
 

Volunteer Day at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. In late March the Fort Lincoln Campground was flooded by an Ice jam on the Heart River. A full month of clean up has gone by and we need your help with the finishing touches. Playground resurfacing, take down tree and shrub fencing, moving some dirt to fill in holes and other small clean projects to be completed. 

Learn more about camping, gear, cooking and more! Whether you are new to camping or are looking for new ideas, this is an event for you! Samples of different pack foods and a light dinner provided (while supplies last). More details to come!

Join us for the 12th annual Bismarck Earth Day Festival! This is a FREE family event with hands-on learning activities for all ages. We will have earth-friendly giveaways and door prizes, and concessions will be available for purchase during the event.

After the winter of 2019, the crazy in everyone at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park has taken over. NOW it's your turn to be on the hunt for crazy and take those CRAZY/FOOLISH selfie/group photos for this #photoinspired hiking challenge!

We ask all participants to bring your smartphone or a digital camera to be used during the hike. Any way you take your photos you will be required to show the crazy evidence at the end to be entered to win a foolish prize.

It all starts at 1:00 pm on April 14th at the State Park Visitor Center!!! This is not RACE, but you need to have a creative finish so come early and get in the foolish mood. Everyone will have a chance to win great prizes with the Twitter & Instagram Photo Contest. The hike ends at 4:00 pm. Come anytime between 1 - 4 pm to complete the hike.

Maple Sugaring in North Dakota! Learn the history of maple tapping, see the tools and find out what the box elder tree has to do with maple syrup. Like finding a pot of gold or seeing a triple Rainbow – St. Patrick’s Day 2019 falls on a Sunday and therefore the luck of the Irish will be ever present on St. Patrick’s Day for the official hike day of the third hike in the 2019 12 Months - 12 Hikes Challenge!
