Get ready to geocache at Fort Stevenson State Park in honor of the Annual Dickens Village Festival in Garrison, ND! Each Friday during the festival, the park will publish GPS coordinates for four geocaches containing an ornament. Happy hunting!

Lake Metigoshe State Park is excited to offer a winter break day camp for youth ages 9–12. The camp features various hands-on activities about winter adaptations and fun outdoor recreation opportunities.

Lake Metigoshe State Park is hosting a winter break day camp for youth ages 9–12. This camp features hands-on activities focused on winter survival skills, including fire starting, orienteering, shelter building, and finding food and water. 

Wrap up 2025 with a hike! Join Cross Ranch State Park for the final hike of the year! Meet at the Visitor Center at 4:00 PM and choose between a 1-mile or 3-mile trek along the Matah Trail. After your hike, warm up by the campfire and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or apple cider.

Join us at Lake Metigoshe State Park, February 6–8 for the Winter Wild Outdoor Women (WOW) event! Designed for women ages 16+ who want to learn or refine outdoor recreation skills in a safe, hands-on setting. Choose from a variety of indoor and outdoor sessions ranging from skiing, snowshoeing and spearfishing to canning, wilderness first aid, painting, and more.
