Fort Ransom State Park

Local Jamestown artist, Linda Roesch, will be hosted by Fort Ransom State Park for the week of August 4-11. This is a part of a collaboration between the North Dakota Parks & Recreation Department and the North Dakota Council on the Arts, in the Artist in Residency program.

Linda is a watercolor and acrylic artist who has been working as a teaching artist for about three years and has been self-employed as a freelance artist for almost 20 years. Linda has completed a wide variety of painting projects, such as children’s book illustrations, pet portraits, and large murals. Linda has a passion for travel sketching and loves to be outdoors, painting outside as much as possible in the summer months.

Join Linda for an interactive program on travel sketching and watercolors, a discussion about plein air painting and more on August 10, 1 pm - 4 pm. She will also be featuring an art show that will display the works of art that were inspired by and completed at Fort Ransom State Park on August 11, 9 am - 12 pm.

The event is free of charge, but the park charges a $7 vehicle entrance fee unless a North Dakota State Park Annual Pass is displayed.
