Community Astronomy with UND Northern Sky Astronomy Society

Head on out to Turtle River State Park to view the stars with the Northern Sky Astronomical Society!

Telescopes will be set up at the Chalet (view park map) for observations and members will be on hand to answer questions. Bring a chair and watch the Perseid Meteor Shower, which peaks this week! The Perseid meteors, named after the constellation Perseus, create one of the brightest astrological light shows of the year. Thanks to a new moon on August 8, this year's meteor shower will be extra-special.
