Lake Metigoshe State Park
Wild Outdoor Women is for ladies at least 16 years of age interested in learning and/or refining skills related to a variety of outdoor recreational activities.
We look forward to offering classic activities, bringing back a few by popular demand and introducing a few new activities for the upcoming event. We are confident that ladies will find several activities for which to register whether you are a returning or new participant ready to try something new, refine skills or simply meet other outdoor enthusiasts. Examples of topics and activities include archery, fly fishing, pontoon fishing, canoeing, kayaking, geocaching, survival skills, Dutch oven cooking and more!
Please stay tuned for details surrounding this event. We plan to release the event schedule and registration information in late June or July; registration usually opens in August for September events.
Ladies register online, purchasing tickets representing activities they would like to participate in as well as optional meals, onsite lodging in our dorms and WOW event shirts. Participants are welcome to participate at the level they desire, whether it is a session or two or a full schedule!
Due to the hands-on aspect of these activities, participation is limited. It is highly suggested that participants register when registration opens as activities can fill quickly, often within the first few minutes. Although many ladies would like to attend the event with friends and/or family member(s), we want to provide everyone an equal opportunity; therefore, individuals are limited to purchasing one ticket/person for all activities. Those that want to register and attend with others need to coordinate a time for which you can register individually, but will need to factor in ticket availability at that time.
Camping is still an option for those interested in camping while attending this event; comfort stations are still open throughout the park. Please call 1-800-807-4723 or visit reserveNDparks.com to check availability and/or make your reservation. There is a 95 day reservation window for campsites, meaning you can make a reservation 95 days prior to your arrival.
Should you be interested in obtaining WOW info via email, please request to be added to the WOW email list. Request can be sent to aschimetz@nd.gov
