A new experience this year, Fort Stevenson is hosting an Evening Hike Series. Four evening hikes are planned throughout the year as part of the series, each offering a unique outdoor hike.
First in the series is the Full Snow Moon Candlelight Hike. Experience a candlelit hike under the full moon in February known as the Snow Moon. Taking place on February 19, park staff will use candle luminaries to light the approximately one-mile trail, illuminated from 6-7:30 p.m.
At 7:30 p.m. join us for a special light photography performance by artist Johnathan Campbell.
Participants are invited to hike, cross country ski, snowshoe or kicksled their way along the trail. Snowshoes, Nordic Skis, and Kicksled rentals are available. Reserve equipment ahead by calling the park office at 701-337-5576.
Event is pet-friendly; well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome.
