Get outdoors with friends or family and join is this special St. Patrick's Day themed hike.
Join us Sunday, March 19 at 2 p.m. as park rangers lead a guided hike beginning at the Commissary Gift Shop & Coffee Bar. A limited menu of coffee drinks and hot chocolate will be served. Please plan on arriving by 1:30 p.m. for the hike.
The hike will be a modest 1.5 miles in length, starting and ending at the Commissary Store. Participants are strongly encouraged to wear snowshoes, snow boots, or other appropriate snow/winter gear for the hike. This hike is NOT stroller friendly but dogs on leashes are welcome. NO Dogs are allowed inside the Commissary Store, unless they are service dogs.
Note: due to the high volume of snow, ice, and slush in the park, there will be NO scavenger hunt activity with this year's Leprechaun Leap Hike. The scavenger hunt will be instead postponed to a different hike planned later in the summer months.
The Visitor Center will be open during the hike, beginning at 1 p.m.
The event is free of charge and open to the public. An annual or daily vehicle permit is required for park entrance and can be purchased online or at the park.
