Lake Metigoshe State Park is hosting a winter break day camp for youth ages 9–12. Online registration opens Wednesday, November 26 at 9 a.m. The cost is $40 per participant, and space is limited.
Camp runs from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. and features hands-on activities focused on winter survival skills—including fire starting, orienteering, shelter building, and finding food and water. Campers will head outdoors to practice these skills and explore the park’s trails and shoreline using snowshoes, kicksleds, or skishoes.
We expect to spend about half the day outside, so participants must arrive dressed in full winter gear. Snacks and lunch are provided. Pickup is at the Warming House at 4 p.m.
