50th Anniversary Celebration

We have a fun-filled day planned, packed with activities, food, and music. 

We'll start the day at 8 am with a dog jog at our dog park, featuring prizes for the best-dressed dog, waggiest dog, and more!

Following that, at 10 am, we'll delve into the life of an archaeologist with a dinosaur dig in the sand at our swim area.

If digging for fossils isn't your style, why not participate in our kids' fishing derby at the marina, also starting at 10 am.

Suzie Q's will be out with her ice cream truck from 10 am - 6 pm helping us beat the heat and our team will be serving hotdogs at noon at Elk Point Shelter (previously the South Shelter). Come enjoy a hot dog as we hand out prizes for the fishing derby and dog jog. Food trucks will also be serving from Noon - 6 pm including Island Cuisine, World Wide Wiener Co. and Creekside Water & Ice.

Jump-'n-fun inflatables will be at Elk Point from noon-8 pm, and we'll have lawn games set up so you can challenge your friends and family in horseshoes, Connect 4, bean bag toss, and many more! You can also take a pontoon ride between 1-4 p.m. or attend a geocaching workshop between 1-3 p.m. (sessions held every half hour.)

Wind down the evening with some dancing as our bands take the stage at 3 pm with the Mooncats, and Josie and the Whalers will perform from 4 pm to 6 pm. Beer garden will be available.

With so much to do, there is something for everyone. We'd love to see you at the park helping us celebrate turning 50.
