Bring your Valentine out to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. We have the perfect way to spend some quality time with that special someone or the whole family. Join us for the annual “Sweetheart Hike” on Sunday, Feb. 12 beginning at 1 pm.
This event is primarily for ladies over the age of 16 who wish to learn or improve on skills associated with several outdoor recreational activities to include activities such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, darkhouse spearfishing and more!
Come and join local outdoor enthusiast, Doug Fisher, to explore the park by moonlight on our cross-country ski and snowshoe trails!
For the second hike in the series, come out and enjoy the full moon in February known as the Snow Moon. Cross-country ski, snowshoe or hike starting from the visitor center. Our team will use candle luminaries to light the trail.

Registration is required and is free. Snowshoes are provided. If you have your own, you are welcome to wear your own.
Test your endurance and battle the elements by competing in the Fort Stevenson State Park Flakes of Fury Fat Tire Bike Race! Prizes for first, second and third in both men's and women's divisions will be awarded.

Visit the Exhibition Gallery on the 18th floor of the North Dakota Capitol to view over a decade of art pieces donated by artists who spent time in North Dakota state parks as part of the Artist in Residency program. All are invited to attend an opening reception on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
