This Mother's Day, bring Mom to the park for a relaxing hike. Use this time to reconnect or simply to enjoy the beauty of Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. The hike is about 2- 3 miles and will start in front of the Custer House on Cavalry Square. The hike is an easy hike on concrete/ gravel surfaces perfect for the whole family and even that new mom with a stroller. #mothershikefalsp
Fort Lincoln Campground Cleanup Day

Categories: Fort Abraham Lincoln State ParkVolunteer Day at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. In late March the Fort Lincoln Campground was flooded by an Ice jam on the Heart River. A full month of clean up has gone by and we need your help with the finishing touches. Playground resurfacing, take down tree and shrub fencing, moving some dirt to fill in holes and other small clean projects to be completed.

Crazy Fools Hunt

Categories: Fort Abraham Lincoln State ParkAfter the winter of 2019, the crazy in everyone at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park has taken over. NOW it's your turn to be on the hunt for crazy and take those CRAZY/FOOLISH selfie/group photos for this #photoinspired hiking challenge!
We ask all participants to bring your smartphone or a digital camera to be used during the hike. Any way you take your photos you will be required to show the crazy evidence at the end to be entered to win a foolish prize.
It all starts at 1:00 pm on April 14th at the State Park Visitor Center!!! This is not RACE, but you need to have a creative finish so come early and get in the foolish mood. Everyone will have a chance to win great prizes with the Twitter & Instagram Photo Contest. The hike ends at 4:00 pm. Come anytime between 1 - 4 pm to complete the hike.

Full Snow Moon Candlelight Hike

Categories: Fort Stevenson State ParkCome out and experience a candlelit hike under the full moon. The Full Moon in February is known as the Snow Moon. Cross-country ski, snowshoe or hike, park staff will use candle luminaries to light the trail. Meet at the Visitor Center at 6:00 pm. Afterward, enjoy snacks and refreshments. The trail is approximately one mile.
