Build your own custom fishing rod with step-by-step instruction from Chuck DeRemer of Chuck's Custom Rods (Fargo, ND). This workshop is for anyone over the age of 14 (age 12, if participant is registering with a parent/guardian). Participation is limited.

Come join us for a fun filled afternoon! There will be several activities both inside and outside (depending on the weather). All events are free! Begins at 1:00 pm and goes until 4:00 pm.

We have the perfect way to spend some quality time with that special someone or the whole family. Join us for the annual Sweetheart Hike on Sunday, Feb. 11 beginning at 1 pm. 

This event is primarily for ladies over the age of 16 who wish to learn or improve on skills associated with several outdoor recreational activities to include activities such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, darkhouse spearfishing and more!

Lake Metigoshe State Park is excited to have Scott Seiler as our artist in residence from January 16-23 through a collaboration with the ND Council on the Arts. Please join us for the following opportunities to meet Scott, learn more about his photography and see the park through his lens as he'll be here taking pictures and providing programs/workshops that will be open to the public. 

Ring in the New Year at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Parks with the “First Day Hike 2024”. This annual tradition is a great way to start off the new year.

Join the Fort Abraham Lincoln team as we ring in the 2023 holiday season, flipping the switch on the decorated iconic infantry post blockhouse! The hike will start and end at the park Visitor Center.
