This event is primarily for ladies over the age of 16 who wish to learn or improve on skills associated with several outdoor recreational activities to include activities such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, darkhouse spearfishing and more!

Lake Metigoshe State Park is excited to have Scott Seiler as our artist in residence from January 16-23 through a collaboration with the ND Council on the Arts. Please join us for the following opportunities to meet Scott, learn more about his photography and see the park through his lens as he'll be here taking pictures and providing programs/workshops that will be open to the public. 

Ring in the New Year at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Parks with the “First Day Hike 2024”. This annual tradition is a great way to start off the new year.

Join the Fort Abraham Lincoln team as we ring in the 2023 holiday season, flipping the switch on the decorated iconic infantry post blockhouse! The hike will start and end at the park Visitor Center.

Join us this holiday season for a festive party like you have never seen before! "Victorian Christmas: A Yuletide Social" takes you back to 1875 where you can experience what the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas were in the frontier Army.

Icelandic State Park and the Northeastern North Dakota Historical Association invite you to join us for our annual Christmas Open House to kick off the holiday season!

Come out ready to geocache. Twelve ornaments are hidden at Fort Stevenson State Park in honor of the Annual Dickens Village Festival in Garrison, ND. Each Friday of the Festival, November 24, December 1, and December 8, GPS coordinates of four geocaches containing an ornament are published, each ornament is a first-to-find prize.

Halloween has arrived at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. Join us Sunday, October 22 at 2 p.m. for the scary and fun "Little Monsters Hike". Dress the whole family in costumes for the lightly creepy hike through Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park.
