Step back to 1875, where you can experience the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas in the frontier Army. Our team and period reenactors in military and civilian dress will be on hand to educate and entertain the public through historic presentations, games, carols, period food and beverages, historic firearm demonstrations (conditions permitting), gift & decoration making, and more!

Create a sweet holiday memory at Fort Stevenson State Park during the Dickens Festival! Drop in for festive make-it, take-it gingerbread house decorating on select dates, perfect for kids ages 4 and up. All sessions take place at the Visitor Center, with a $6 supply fee per house while supplies last. Join us for some hands-on holiday fun!

Get ready to geocache at Fort Stevenson State Park in honor of the Annual Dickens Village Festival in Garrison, ND! Each Friday during the festival, the park will publish GPS coordinates for four geocaches containing an ornament. Happy hunting!
