Our 29th Annual Missouri River Bluegrass Festival will be on June 14th & 15th, 2019. This event is one of Cross Ranch State Park's longest running events!
Campers bring candy for Trick-or-Treaters and decorate your campsite! Make sure kids bring a costume so they can dress up and go Trick-or-Treating Saturday night around the campgrounds. Come for all the exciting entertainment at Fort Ransom State Park's 5th Halloween in June!
This ranger-guided hike will explore through the park’s native prairie. The hike begins at 2 p.m. starting at the Guardhouse Interpretive Center. The North Dakota Bird Checklist is available.
Join the park rangers on a short hike through the Old Settlers and Woodland Trails. This hike is expected to last 30 minutes to one hour. Meet at the park office by 10:00 a.m
Wander through this historical park’s diverse trail system on National Trails Day. This park hike will take place at 10 a.m. by the Friends Shelter. While on your hike, be sure to take some photos and post them on social media. Use the hashtag #FindYourExpedition for a chance at winning a prize.
Join the staff at Fort Ransom State Park for a guided hike on National Trails Day. The guided hike will begin at 10:00 am on June 1st at the visitor center.
Follow trails through a natural wooded area on this interpreter-guided hike. The event will start at 10 a.m. at the park’s amphitheater near the trailhead. During this hike, you will have the chance to see native trees and shrubs, views of the shores of Devils Lake and more. Water will be provided.
To celebrate National Trails Day, Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park is hosting their annual 15K Trail Run and a 5K Family Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, June 1st, 2019.
Join the park staff for multiple different National Trail Day festivities. On Friday, May 31, go on a modern-day treasure hunt and find your own geocache! This activity starts at 8 p.m. by the amphitheater. On Saturday, June 1, hit the trails on a demo bike. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. try out some different models of bikes and see what your favorite is, meet by the CCC Memorial Shelter. There will also be yard games and we encourage you to bring a lunch as well. The final event will be on Saturday, June 1, at 8 p.m. starting at the amphitheater. This hike will be exploring the different methods of finding your way in the wilderness.
Be a part of a two-day National Trails Day celebration at Lake Metigoshe State Park. On Friday, May 31, there will be a guided hike on ND’s first National Recreation Trail, the Old Oak Trail. This hike will start at 7:00 p.m. at the warming house. On Saturday, June 1, there will be a Dakota Explorers program for kids of all ages. This program will begin at 2 p.m. at the park’s amphitheater. There will also be a night hike on Saturday, June 1, beginning at 10 p.m., meet at the warming house. For even some more fun, join in on the weekend scavenger hunt. If you find a painted rock, (1 rock/household) bring it to the office and win a goodie bag.
