Celebrate Bike Your Park Day by joining local members of the Turtle Mountain Trails Association on the multi-use trails at Lake Metigoshe State Park! This is a great opportunity to further explore the park with those that are familiar with the trails, meet other enthusiasts or simply put more miles on your bike.
Lake Metigoshe State Park is hosting the 2019 Wild Outdoor Women, (WOW) Fall Event. WOW is primarily for ladies over the age of 16 who wish to learn or improve outdoor recreational skills. Come enjoy activities such as kayaking, archery, outdoor photography and more!

Take an historic walking tour of downtown Bismarck with the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department! The tour illustrates how today's Bismarck has been a Capital in Farm Country for 700 years, with the unbroken agricultural heritage stretching back to the early Mandan and Hidatsa Indian nations.
Here's your chance to have that camp experience as an ADULT! This camp is for anyone 16 years of age and older and will focus on environmental education and recreational skills. Learn how to cook in a Dutch oven, get introduced to birding, find out how to geocache, go canoeing, re-learn compass skills, shoot archery and more!

Welcome to our 4th Annual Bison Stampede Run! On Sunday, August 11, we invite you to stampede with us on a variety of back-country runs that are located alongside the Missouri River in an old-growth Cottonwood forest. This year we are hosting a 5K, 10K and 15K run in our beautiful park! Registration will include race and breakfast access in addition to a memorable Bison Stampede item. A small breakfast will be served post-race to include fruit and granola bars. We will also serve refreshments such as coffee, water, and juice.
Local Jamestown artist, Linda Roesch, will be hosted by Fort Ransom State Park for the week of August 4-11. This is a part of a collaboration between the North Dakota Parks & Recreation Department and the North Dakota Council on the Arts, in the Artist in Residency program.
Join us for the 34th annual Kids Weekend at Icelandic State Park. The theme this year is "Wild West".
This camp is for youth ages 8-12 and will focus on environmental education and recreational skills. Explore reptiles & amphibians, paddle a canoe, shoot archery, go fishing, learn survival skills and more!
