Like finding a pot of gold or seeing a triple Rainbow – St. Patrick’s Day 2019 falls on a Sunday and therefore the luck of the Irish will be ever present on St. Patrick’s Day for the official hike day of the third hike in the 2019 12 Months - 12 Hikes Challenge!
This event is primarily for ladies over the age of 16 who wish to learn or improve on skills associated with several outdoor recreational activities including snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and more!
Bring your Valentine this #Valentines Season to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, because we have the perfect way to spend some quality time with that special someone or the whole family. Join us for the annual “Sweetheart Hike” on Sunday, Feb. 17th beginning at 1 p.m. The hike about 2 miles over the hills and through the snow, so wear those snowpants and boots, and bring a sled to pull.
Come out and experience a candlelit hike under the full moon. The Full Moon in February is known as the Snow Moon. Cross-country ski, snowshoe or hike, park staff will use candle luminaries to light the trail. Meet at the Visitor Center at 6:00 pm. Afterward, enjoy snacks and refreshments. The trail is approximately one mile.

Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and Cross Ranch State Park collaborated to bring you a legendary Lewis and Clark themed winter celebration! Starting at 1:00 pm, stop by the River Peoples Visitor Center at Cross Ranch State Park to enjoy a variety of soups and refreshments to fill your belly and warm you up. 4th Annual First Find, First Day Hike
The Outdoor Learning Center (OLC) at Lake Metigoshe State Park is hosting a day camp for youth ages 10-12 that will focus on winter survival. Participants will have fun learning valuable life skills.
