Join us August 22nd for the 8th annual Fort Stevenson Regatta and Garrison Chamber of Commerce Beach Party. The Regatta begins at noon and can be watched along the park bluffs. Come out to see the sailboats, then stay for the Beach Party! Fun and food for all ages from 5-11 p.m.! Enjoy carnival-style entertainment with new inflatables, games and nine-hole mini-golf. Dance in the sand as Too Old to Stand plays from 6:30-11 p.m. The Beach Party admission cost for K–Adult is $10. Pre-K and under are free.
Lake Metigoshe State Park is partnering with the ND Game & Fish Department to provide a hands-on camp opportunity for those 12-14 years of age that are interested in learning hands-on recreational skills. Activities include Beginner's Archery, Intro to Kayaking, Intermediate Archery, a 3D Archery Shoot and Survival Skills (to include fire starting, orienteering, etc.).
The Outdoor Learning Center at Lake Metigoshe State Park is hosting a day camp for those 8-11 years of age that are interested in learning hands-on recreational skills and environmental education. Hands-on activities related to archery, wildlife, freshwater ecology, survival skills, kayaking and ecology games are on the agenda! We'll round out both days with some time playing and swimming at the beach.
Who is for the return of the Cardio & Coffee Trail Running Series at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park? This one-of-a-kind event will elevate your outdoor fitness routine by adding in the enjoyment and education of the finest specialty roast coffee. We have taken a typical morning run and turned it into an energy-driven morning on the most beautiful and legendary trails of Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park
Join us for a fun family weekend at the park! Self-guided activities will be going on throughout the weekend. Activities include a Scavenger Hunt, ISP Clue, Sandcastle Contest, Coloring Contest, and Campsite Decorating Contest. Meet at the beach at noon on Saturday for Beach BINGO!

The North Dakota Parks & Recreation Department and The Friends of Lewis and Clark State Park, under the ND Smart Restart guidelines, are pleased to announce the return of their Christmas in July Event, July 6 through July 12, 2020, at Lewis and Clark State Park. One of Santa’s favorite yearly traditions is a vacation from the North Pole each July to visit Lewis and Clark State Park.
Come visit Fort Stevenson State Park, on us! We're offering free daily admission as a token of our appreciation. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and listen to live music on our historical guardhouse lawn from 12-4 p.m. Leave the coolers at home! Our new, made-in-Mandan craft soda from Dialectic Brewing will be for sale in juneberry, guava, and ginger cream.
